South African triathletes prepare for Belron big day.

MaAfrika Tikkun’s preparations for the London Triathlon have received a significant boost with the 
provinces Central Triathlon Union taking a keen interest in the development of the three athletes
who  will travel to London to join the Belron team later this year.

Michael Moriarty of Central Gauteng Triathlon - an affiliate of Triathlon South Africa – is volunteering his time to work closely with MaAfrika Tikkun’s Sports Programme Coordinator, Thomas Taole, in the selection and coaching of the young triathletes.

Thomas says “With Michael’s experience and invaluable input, we are confident that the team we ultimately select to send
to London will fly the MaAfrika Tikkun and Belron flags high, Importantly, we believe what we are doing in our programme can make a significant contribution to their goal of growing the sport in disadvantaged areas.  So the Belron
initiative around the London Triathlon is going to have far reaching effects well into the future.”
