IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Each swimming group will have a different coloured cap so they can be easily identified by the safety marshalls in the water. Although you will be given a full race briefing prior to the event you will need to remember to count the laps that you have done.
However, don't worry as there will be plenty of water marshalls there to help every group turn at the right point!
Race Packs will include:
- your race numbers
- security band to be worn at all times
- a bike number and a helmet number
- Race booklet
This year packs will be sent out in advance of the event BUT will not include the timing chip or race numbers which will need to be collected by competitors once you have racked your bike and gone through the registration and transition area.
Bikes must be racked in the transition area on Saturday morning between 08.30 - 14.30 at the latest. Your helmet must be attached to your bike when you rack it. There will be a designated area in the transition hall for our entry marked with AUTOGLASS SIGNS.
Timing chips Timing chips must be firmly secured around your ankle during the race.
Swim cap will be handed out just before you enter the water. You will find a sticker in the race pack which should be exchanged for your cap.
Please note that race belts must be worn by competitos taking part in individual events. Belts will be available to purchase on the day in the BELRON Suite.

The race starts with the swim in the Royal Victoria Dock. The BELRON wave will be announced 10 minutes before the start. All swimmers will enter the water via a pontoon and wait in the water until the horn sounds. Swimmers exit the water via a pontoon and should start to take their wetsuit off and place it in the bag provided then enter into the transition area.
Those people competing in teams and doing the cycle should be waiting in the transition area by their bike ready to accept the timing chip from your swimmer. Make your way to the 'Bike Out' exit - you must not get onto your bike until you are in the 'Bike Mount Zone'. Helmets must be worn at all times during your race. Once the correct number of bike laps has been completed, you should enter transition via the 'Bike In' entrance and dismount in the 'Dismount Zone'. Cyclists should then rack their bikes in your designated spot in the transition area.
Those people taking part in the run should be ready to accept the timing chip then make their way onto the course via the 'Run Out' Exit. After the correct number of run laps each competitor crosses the finish line and claims their medal! The runner should collect a medal for each team member.
