The recomended method of travel if you are bringing a bike is by car as the DLR will not allow bikes on the train. By Car - ExCeL is reached from Central London via the Limehouse Link (5 miles east of Tower Bridge) and via the M25 (Junction 30), A13, M11, A406 (North Circular), the Blackwall Tunnel and Rotherhithe Tunnel. Traffic should access ExCel from A13 at either Canning Town junction or Prince Regent Lane. PLEASE NOTE - ON THE DAY THERE WILL BE ROAD CLOSURES SO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR JOURNEY AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME. By Rail-ExCeL is connected to the Jubilee line at Canning Town via a 3-minute DLR journey (Docklands Light Railway) to Custom House for ExCeL (Zone 3). ExCeL is also connected directly to the Central, Northern, Circle, District and Waterloo & City lines at Bank and the Circle and District lines at Tower Hill via the DLR. Plan your journey with www.tubeplanner.com PLEASE NOTE - The DLR will not allow any competitors to bring bikes on the train. The DLR will be running all day on Saturday 9th, and from 6.30 on Sunday 10th August. There are also restrictions on the underground, so we would strongly advise you to check with them for conditions of carriage for bikes: Tel: 020 7222 1234 or visit www.tfl.gov.uk » Print this page |
